Bangs. For a while now I've been pondering the idea of me with bangs. Y'know pinning my hair up for a general idea. I love the look of it. So this Christmas Break I'm going to cut it! EEE! I'm so phsyched! I just love Alix of the cherry blossom girl's hair. yay. Im exited.

Grimm's Complete Fairy Tales

I was at Barnes & Noble last night and I finally bought this anthology of fairytales I had been wanting for a while! Only about $20 bucks and the pages are gilded with gold. The stories are so much more wonderful and romantic than the Disney versions :)

Lazy Sunday...

So the whole day I have been in bed drinking tea and reading the Queens Fool by Philippa Gregory. All in all, not a bad day. This is a picture ® copyright 2009 Stephanie Rose Colette. It is of my newly redone, but not finished room. I think it looks quite beautiful in this pinkish light. The wall color is actually a very, very light macarooninsh violet. C'est Magnifique!

Really Digging Lanvin...

Okay so for Halloween 2009, I am actually leaning towards being Alice in Wonderland for it. My marie antoinette costume is WAY to difficult to sew in 2-3 weeks and WAY to expensive. So I'm really exited. YAY! gunna be so fun!

Inspiration

*Just a little Daily Inspiration* I'm so stressed out; I have to sew a complete Marie Antoinette costume by All Hallow's Eve . And the brocade is $20 a yard. :'( But this picture does cheer me up a tad. It's so pretty. Photo Credit; Lower; Flickr, Above; Polyvore

Urrr..my head really hurts

After spending 1 hour doing the Power Point assigned to "my group" (my assthey are going to do it, so I took the lead) and 2 hours trying to decipher a sewing pattern (can you say migrane?!), and baking meringues over the span of 4 hours... I'm wiped. Now to empty and repack my volleyball bag...and mon dieu my Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress (I'd advise all of you to invest in one) is all crinkly and crumply. Okay, I wasn't intending this post to be all complaints, tomorrow is a new day, and after a 3-day-weekend, (Au juste de ce que j'ai eu besoin!) I am ready to return back to the hellhouse. First I have to figure out what to wear, a daily struggle. But first of course the weather, and then read chapters 1-6 of To Kill a Mockingbird (which, it should be noted, I have already read, but am being forced to again as a "refresher" and take notes (Merde! I forgot) Je suis desole, more complaints. So hmm.. Happy Milan Fashion Week? I spent a good chunk of my day on tavi's blog (http://tavi-thenewgirlintown.blogspot.com/ for those of you who do not know of her) Well im kinda obsessed with her- shes totally adorable and SO chic. Check her out. I have nothing to say more

As I have spent a portion of Freshman year re-inventing myself into a chicer, more cultured being, I have decided it is fit to start a new blog. Unlike past blogs, I will actually *try* to have regular posts (I cannot promise a thing) and also try not to bore you with the subjects of such. (And hopefully, mon petit blog will not go all wonky on me). So to start, I should probably tell you a bit about myself so you feel as if you know me. My name from henceforth will be Stephanie Rose Colette. I am very into fashion, and strive to become a well know fashion designer one day. I keep myself very well informed (If I can say so myself) in fashion, and dress pretty well (again, if I can say so myself) considering my "salary") But of course, right now I am shlopping around in ripped Joe's Jeans, a slouchy knit cardi, slippers, a no makeup face and unbrushed hair. But don't judge, it's the weekend. My favorite designers are Alice Temperly, Louise Goldin, Alexis Mabille, Christian Lacroix, Alexander McQueen, William Tempest, and Anna Sui. My style is part Marie Antoinette, part romantic, and a very small portion Blair Waldorf (But very small). I love simple things, like a bar of soap from Fresh., or some macaroons from Ladurée, or a pair of leather gloves, or crystal jeweled buttons, but what I have found is that people can really, never be replaced by things. My favorite seasons are Winter and Fall, because I love Christmas and snow but also warm apple cider and crunchy piles of leaves. I want to travel the world someday but also hope I am always grounded enough to remember where I can from. I have the most loving family anybody could ever ask for, and for now, that is enough for me.
